Grown traditionally without the use of any chemicals or pesticides on a small farm in the fertile region of Antioch in Southern Turkey. These cucumber-like plants are sown in March, carefully tended and hand picked in late July and August. They are then washed and left to dry and bleach naturally in the hot sun. Supplied to you in their natural state, they are unlike other loofahs found on the market, which can be hard and abrasive. Our natural loofahs have a large and light texture, which makes them softer and more flexible for effective cleansing and massaging of the skin, with the added advantages of being quick-drying and resistant to mould growth.
