This natural soap is formulated exclusively for Biome Lifestyle by a small cooperative in Bali, where the members of the cooperative benefit directly from every bar we sell. 15% of the manufacturing cost of each bar of soap has been shared amongst the workers and families of the Sensatia cooperative, to ensure workers are paid fairly and good working conditions are maintained.
The seaweed in this soap is purchased from Bali’s southern tip; Nusa Dua. The local harvesters of the region plant the quick-regenerating seaweed in the tidal pools of the Indian Ocean.
Seaweed will soothe damaged or irritated skin, heal minor skin infections, detoxify and cleanse, to help you maintain smooth, firm textured and radiant skin. The vitamins and minerals nourish the skin helping to "soften" rough, dry skin and help to remove dead skin cells.
When included in skin treatments, it has been reported that seaweed assists in the emulsification of fat cells and tissues. Lavender essential oil is added to the soap and offers an all-purpose essential oil for skin care.
Its effect is antibacterial, pain relieving, healing for wounds, deodorising, antiseptic, fungicidal, rejuvenating, and anti-inflammatory. It is also effective for acne and oily hair as well as itchy and cracked skin.
