Bamboo is a superb natural material as it grows enormously quickly, twice as fast as a tree, and pumps 30% more oxygen into the atmosphere. These bamboo salad and fruit bowls are made in the remote area of Manipur, in North East India. The bowls are made to fair trade standards and help to provide employment in this remote rural area. The bamboo used for these bowls is sourced locally.
