These CD storage boxes are made in the rural outskirts of Delhi, providing much needed employment. Cotton waste from the garment industry is sorted, chopped, washed and pulped. Large sheets are then formed from the pulp and are dried in the sun and coated manually. The sheets are then taken to a small fabrication unit where they are individually made into colourful leather-look CD boxes. This product is imported under fair trade principles, so you can be sure that no one was exploited to bring it to you.
